  • F. Emmett Fitzpatrick, PC, the predecessor firm of Fitzpatrick & Caravasos, PC, was the first law firm in the City of Philadelphia to publish a Web site. Another area law firm tried to claim that distinction with a big public relations effort several months after our first site was launched, but proper credit was given by Philadelphia's official legal newspaper, The Legal Intelligencer, in a May 26, 1995 article.

  • This Web site was created by F. Emmett Fitzpatrick, III on Apple Macintosh computers using a combination of Adobe PageMill and straight HTML coding.

  • This Web Site and Fitzpatrick & Caravasos' Toplaw domain are hosted in-house on a MacMini G4 which is connected to the Internet via a T1 line.

  • This is the fourteenth major revision (7/1/07) of the firm's Web site since its original publication. Recent changes include revising the firm's name and updating all pages. Earlier changes included converting from the original "frames" layout to javascript, a task which was ably performed by Web designers from Martindale-Hubbell. Earlier changes also included removing all "mailto" codes and e-mail addresses from the site. Unfortunately, the latter change was a reflection of the rampant misuse of the Internet's cooperative protocols by "spammers". Spammers now utilize highly automated harvesting tools to gather addresses from Web sites, then continually bombard those addresses with ever-more repugnant solicitations.
